Freddie James

James' music career began in his hometown of Montreal. A self taught musician James quickly honed his skills by listening to and drawing upon his wide assortment of musical tastes. His talent not only shines as a part of the rhythm section but also as a lead and background vocalist.

Along with various studio and freelance projects in the Montreal, Toronto and New York areas James has also worked extensively through out the Asian continent.

James' original score "Heaven Surrounds You" appeared on the soundtrack for the movie "RUDE" by Clement Virgo in 1995, and his song "Sweet Treat" appered on the television series "Neon Rider". James performed the song "Wondering Where the Lions Are" on the compilation album "Kick at the Darkness", featuring the songs of Bruce Cockburn.

No stranger to performing for a crowd, James and R&B group B-Funn were awarded the BEST R&B VIDEO at the MuchMusic Awards in 1992, and were nominated again in 1993.

James also played as part of the House Band for the 1994 and 1995 YTV Awards.
